This is my magickal blog, so I will take this space to tell you about my Magickal Self.
I have been practicing magick for over 20 years. I was a very curious, though very sheltered child, and so it was not until those reigns were loosened a bit that I was able to branch out. Having looked to books for the answers to most of my questions, I bought a book on witchcraft. It was The Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland. For those old school witches, you know the one I am talking about.
Anyway, I practiced that for a while by myself. I wanted to understand what I was working with before branching out. In my junior year of High School I got involved with a group of serious Goddess Worshiping Crones. They were fabulous, and took me under their wing. Truth be told, however, I really enjoy the company of men and didn’t feel that I wanted the aspect cut from my worship of deity, so I moved on.
From there I began to explore Norse and Egyptian Magickal systems. I did this for a couple of years, until a friend decided to pass on his very worn copy of Magick in Theory and Practice by Aleister Crowley. I also got involved with many members of the OTO. I never joined, but had many devout members who were my friends.
Ceremonial Magick really speaks to my academic mind. I enjoy the study and the in-depth nature of it. I love the ceremony! I have been doing Ceremonial Magick now for a many years, but….. yes, I sound fickle, but wait. Read on….. In the past few years, I have been leaning toward a wilder, freer form of Magick.
I have been called to Shamanism for a while. I know that I am a shapeshifter and can commune with the spirit realms quite easily. It comes naturally to me. I love walking between the worlds and journey often. Though I still do the LBRP regularly, and the Middle Pillar meditation, I also work heavily in Jewish Mysticism, Seidh Magick, and various forms of Shamanism.
My goal in this life is not to close myself in a box in my spirituality. I am certainly on a path, led by my higher self, but it is not fully definable by conventional standards. I know my purpose, and I am working to fully realize that in my Self, and to peel away the layers that hold me back. This blog will chronicle that journey.
