As many of my readers know, I recently participated in a drum making workshop. As part of that workshop, I met the spirit of my drum. My drum informed me that I need to calibrate myself to what a truly healthy and peaceful space feels like. Being an empath, I feel everything and “read” it using that information.
In my travels I went to many sacred spaces, from National Parks to Temples. My expectations, prior to leaving for the trip, was that I would go to each of these places and be consumed with an overwhelming sense of “good” in these spaces. I was mistaken.
What I learned from this is that Sacred Spaces are neutral, in perfect balance. When the scales do not tip in either direction, they are stable and safe. It seems so obvious to me now…..

Your statement about sacred spaces made me think about expectations in general, when it comes to the sacred or magickal. I find that the reality is often not quite what I expect. And that tends to give an experience validation for me.
